THE ONLINE DIFFERENCE
Online design services focus on the planning & design aspect of a project only, and excludes in person meetings, and taking on project management tasks such as; purchasing or supplying goods, hiring trades or supervising work on site. Wth our online design process, the homeowner takes on the leg work of providing a room measure and existing photos, and then implementing the final design plans with your contractor/trades/suppliers.
All sourcing for online design is streamlined. We don’t attempt to reinvent the wheel through this process or custom design products - we rely on our decades of experience to bring you great feasible design solutions utilizing tried and true details and our favourite go-to materials and fixtures that will confidently deliver high end results. We expertly pair accessible off-the-shelf products with designer details to achieve a customized look without the high end costs.

Our streamlined virtual process focuses on design solutions that embrace design styles, features and palettes that will ensure longevity and add maximum value to your home and everyday living. This means recommendations are always classic as well as both practical and beautiful to ensure they’ll work seamlessly with your home now and into the future. WHO ITS BEST FOR
These online services are best for people who have a single room project, and are willing and able to take on some of the coordination leg work themselves. If you’re computer savvy, proficient on a keyboard (beyond just texting) can navigate uploading and sharing photos and documents via email, google drive or dropbox, are good at understanding floor plans, expressing your style preferences and generally have a good idea of what you want to achieve - the process is ideal for you. Know what your problems are but not how to fix them? Perhaps you already have a strong concept of what you want but need guidance in pulling it all together? These packages can turn your wishes and ideas into a cohesive vision with a clear plan of action.
WHEN ITS NOT RIGHT FOR YOU
If you don’t have a laptop or desktop, if you struggle with google or sharing and uploading files - unfortunately this process probably isn’t best for you. If you’re unsure of what you like or want, unsure how much reno work you’re willing to embark on or invest in, have no time to dedicate to the project, you’re likely not ready to begin this process. Additionally the following should to be considered:
If the design style your striving for is formal traditional which involves loads of mouldings and high level of finishing details, or
if you’re seeking high end materials and finishes, and refined custom details,,,,
if you want a design with colour on colour, and layers of pattern on patterns, an eclectic mix of styles, with a variety of old and new,, or
if you have an historic home in need of extensive restoration
if you’re seeking decorating services (furnishings and decor )
If any of the above applies to you, an online process is not ideally the right fit because these circumstances require significantly more design time, detailing and oversight than our online process is geared to. In all these situations we recommend you work with a designer one on one to fulfill this level of design planning which inherently require hands-on, in person and onsite consulting. As an option for local home owners on the South Shore and HRM, we can potentially extend some in-home or on-site consultations as an add-on to a full package. Please inquire at time of order.
